Jim serves as the Communications Director for Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources.  He joined the department in June of 2011.  Previously, Jim worked for KRQE News 13 in Albuquerque as a reporter for several years.  He also spent 11 years as a news reporter and anchor at several TV stations throughout the Midwest.

Jim holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated with highest honors.  He also received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.  After graduation, he worked for several years in Chicago as design engineer at manufacturing facility.

In addition to his duties at Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department, Jim serves as the Communication Director of the New Mexico Environment Department.
