The Casamero Lake Coal Mine Reclamation Project site consisted of backfilling two adits, recontouring two adit openings, burial of two gob piles and fertilizing, seeding, mulching and fencing the disturbed areas.

The project was located in McKinley County approximately twelve miles southeast of Crownpoint and one mile west-southwest of the Borrego Pass Trading Post.

The contractor was Runyan Construction Company based in Silver City, New Mexico.
