The Clum Mine Safeguard Project was located northwest of Silver City near the town of Gila, NM. The project consisted of safeguarding six abandoned hard rock mine openings. This included the construction of a bat gate and bat cupola.

The contractor was Michael C. Donegan Inc. of Albuquerque, NM.
