The Derry I-25 Mine Safeguard Project consisted of backfilling three shafts, four adits and one pit, restoring existing hillside benches and access roads, constructing a sedimentation pond, placing temporary erosion control measures, and seeding, fertilizing and mulching of disturbed areas. The project was located one to two miles northeast of Derry, NM.
