The Mirabal Mine Blasting Project is located east of Forest Road 178 at Diener Canyon, which is in the Zuni Mountains about six miles south of Bluewater Lake (Sections 7 and 8, Township 11N, Range 12W).

The project consisted of closing three fluorspar mine stope openings using drilling, blasting and earthmoving methods.

The contractor was the Lon Danley General Contractor, Mesilla Park, NM.
