Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park is designed as a day-use park for walkers, bicyclists and wildlife watchers.
Commitment to Education
The new park will reach out to local schools so it can enhance its tradition and serve local youngsters as an outdoor classroom.
Development Schedule
The Division completed construction of the park access road and commenced work on a $1.9 million visitor center that, was completed in December 2008. The park opened its doors officially to the public with a Grand Opening Ceremony December 13, 2008. The park with its special facilities will become a premier environmental learning center in southern New Mexico.

From Interstate 10:
Take the Avenida de Mesilla Exit (Exit 140) south to Calle del Norte (first stoplight) in Mesilla. Turn right and drive 1.9 miles west until you cross the Rio Grande. Immediately after crossing the bridge, the entrance to the park is visible on the left.
From Las Cruces:
Take Avenida de Mesilla (Highway 28) south to Calle del Norte (first stoplight) in Mesilla. Turn right and drive 1.9 miles west until you cross the Rio Grande. Immediately after crossing the bridge, the entrance to the park is visible on the left.
