The Boat Act (New Mexico Statutory Laws)

These are found in Chapter 66, Article 12 of the New Mexico Statutory Acts 1978.
The Purpose of the Boat Act is to promote safety for persons and property in and connected with the use, operation, and equipment of vessels and to promote the uniformity of laws relating thereto.
In New Mexico those may not be the only laws to comply with. Certain state agencies, municipalities, pueblos, and indian reservations may adopt more stringent legal requirements that a boater must also comply with. In addition, a boater must be fully familiar with the New Mexico State Parks Regulations.
