Jackson Lake (NMGF)

Area is pinon juniper and russian olive and sagebrush.  Lake is used to irrigate the refuge on the east side of the road.

Off NM 170 (La Plata Highway) 5 miles NW north of Farmington, New Mexico. On west side of the road.

One parking lot accessed from 1/4 mile hill by walking

Boat use is restricted to canoes/kayaks or rafts or electric motors are dragged/pushed/pulled up the hill.

Life jackets must be worn at all times.

Catfish, bluegill and bass

Swimming not allowed.
