Description: Scenic 100 acre lake in the Gila Directions: From Albuquerque about 220 miles. Southeast of Reserve New Mexico 55 miles via NM 435 and FRs 141, 28 & 142 Map: Water Sports: Fishing. Ramps: One. ADA accessible fishing pier. Marinas/Rentals: None Wind Warning Lights: None Fish Species: Stocked Rainbow trout. Wildlife Viewing: Water Conditions: Special Boating Restrictions: Boat use is restricted to boats with oars or electric motors. Camping: There is a Gila National Forest closure north of the northern boundary of the Gila Wilderness. On 9/1/06 FR142 will open leading to Dipping Vat Primitive Campground at Snow Lake a fee demonstration project of the US Forest Service with 40 campsites, vault toilets and potable water from April to November Phone (505) 533-6232, Fax (505) 533-6605
