Springer Lake Fishing Area

Description:  Springer Lake is a small fishing lake under one square mile in size on a twenty year lease by the New Mexico Department of Fish and Game. It is about 4.5 miles west of the town of Springer past the New Mexico Boys School.

There is a boat ramp said to be in poor condition.

Fishing: State Record Northern pike, 36 pounds, caught at Springer Lake on March 7, 1978.

Boating is restricted to paddlecraft and electric motors only.
