  1. Take it slow and easy during the first outing.. note observed hazards and mark them on your map.
  2. Operate slowly and take great care at night.
  3. Carry the spare propellor and the spare parts and tools to install it.
  4. Get a trailer tongue extension for launcihng at non-standard shallow ramps.
  5. Inspect the launch ramp before backing in and look for the side with less mud and walk it and make sure there is not an edge drop off.  (courtesy boating magazines and NM Boating Education.
