Accessible Features in New Mexico State Parks

State Parks is committed to providing access to outdoor recreation facilities for all members of the public. All new facilities are designed and constructed to comply with applicable laws, regulations and standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  State Parks is reviewing all facilities to determine improvements to comply with new standards and guidelines applicable to outdoor recreation facilities.

Universally accessible fishing piers are available at the following parks:

  • Eagle Nest Lake (when water level is high enough)
  • Leasburg Dam
  • Navajo Lake, Texas Hole (3) & Cottonwood Day-Use area (2)

Playgrounds with accessible components are available at the following parks:

  • Bluewater Lake, Boure Day Use Area
  • Brantley Lake, Limestone Campground & Day Use
  • Caballo Lake, Riverside Campground
  • Coyote Creek
  • Elephant Butte Lake, Ridge Road
  • Fenton Lake

Vehicular access to shoreline fishing is available at the following parks; however, conditions change as water levels rise and fall. ADA accessibility cannot be guaranteed in these locations. Please contact park for current conditions.
