Eagle Nest Lake State ParkLocated on the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway, Eagle Nest Lake is surrounded by the stunning scenery of the high mountains of the Moreno Valley. This lake is regularly stocked with trout and salmon. Anglers can fish from the banks or by boat and ice fish in the winter. At 8,300 feet in elevation, the park offers a cool retreat from the summer heat for fisherman, boaters, campers, hikers and wildlife enthusiasts. An abundance of animals make Eagle Nest Lake an ideal location for wildlife viewing. Park Elevation 8,196 ft Effective December 3, 2020 this park is open daily during regular day-use hours for New Mexico residents only. Please see the Park Alerts section for more information. NOTICE: Eagle Nest Lake is now open to ice fishing. Walk-in access only. No motorized equipment allowed.
