    Santa Rosa Lake State Park

samtalake The centerpiece of Santa Rosa Lake State Park is a large reservoir on the plains of eastern New Mexico. 

The park offers a variety of water recreation. Anglers are known to catch bass, catfish and walleye. The Army Corps of Engineers visitor center has displays about area history, creation of the dam and natural history.

City of Natural Lakes
The nearby town of Santa Rosa is famous for its natural sinkhole lakes, where divers from around the country come to learn scuba skills.

Getting There
Santa Rosa Lake State Park is seven miles north of Santa Rosa via N.M. 91.

* Rocky point Loop "B", Juniper Campground and Los Tanos Campground are closed for their scheduled winter closure from November 1 through Easter Sunday.
